I'm back...

o well this is an old post that never got posted..

so right to the point, so we found out that cath had cancer... she told me the way we as a family seem to do it. she told me in way that tells me, "damn shawn, catherine is the right girl for you", I got the news on a ice cream cake! (yes we ate the cake, it was good).

so much to say, so hard to say it. I know she will beat it, If there is any type of cancer to get it's thyroid cancer. And if anyone could beat cancer it's catherine. At this point she knows more about the whole procedure, diagnosis and treatments than the doctors and staff do. all the things she has been through this one is a walk in the park. Honestly, it is not that scary at all, she is strong, she is so strong.

the whole mess is just we had a such a roller coaster last year, and like almost the day we got back our lives, it got f'd. looking back it could have all been the thyroid acting up, this whole thing now makes sense, as it was cancer turning on and off like a light switch...

I am very happy that surgery is (was) Wednesday. We had the consult today(monday), and Wednesday is the day. We are not much for waiting... why wait when there is life to live? which is funny cause our family vacation was SOO NOT the vacation for us... ORLANDO? WTF where we thinking when we bid on it? a TIME SHARE? US? we are the type of people who live in vacation land and make fun of the tourists. WC, isn't really vacation land, or is it? the Students are just traveling through.... Why does Huntington Beach, CA, Santa Cruz, CA, Portsmouth, NH, etc.. look so right to us? cause we like to live not wait to live.

The timeshare guy was SO "you need to vacation". I almost said, dude our kids love jumping in puddles! the Pool is a vacation for them! Heck going to Grama and Grampa's is a freaking vacation to them!

Cath and I love the quiet. Sure we love a good concert, but vacation to us is getting away from it all, not waiting in line... Jamaica was good, CANCUN is vacation. FEBRUARY!! Can't wait...

We had the most fun the way only we could... we went to the beach. kids played cath rested and watched the kids, i rested and watched the kids.... it was nice.... we ate at taco bell..... then went to a "pirate adventure". kids had a blast.... we had a blast...
